What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small files a website may store in your browser and send with subsequent requests. Local storage is a browser feature used to remember preferences on the device. Sandy uses local storage for essential interface choices.

These values are not used for advertising or cross-site profiling.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics may be enabled to measure aggregate page views and performance. It is designed to operate without cookies, local storage or cross-site behavioral profiles. It does not depend on advertising consent because it is not used for advertising personalization. See the Cloudflare Web Analytics documentation.
Advertising technologies when enabled
Google AdSense may be used on the public site. When advertising is active, Google and its partners may set or read cookies and use device identifiers for ad delivery, frequency control, measurement and personalization. Google may use the DoubleClick or Google Advertising Products cookie and related technologies.
For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, non-essential advertising storage remains denied until a Google-certified consent management platform records the required choice. Advertising choices can be changed later through the consent interface. Google ad personalization can also be reviewed at Google Ads Settings.
Where required by California law, the consent interface will provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” choice before personalized advertising or related sharing occurs.
Managing storage
You can clear cookies and local storage through your browser's site-data settings. Clearing local storage resets the site's theme, language and cookie preferences. If advertising is active, the consent interface can be reopened from the footer to review advertising choices.
